Filmmaker Shailendra Singh recently shared a memorable anecdote involving Salman Khanrecalled an evening at the actor’s Galaxy Apartments residence when he witnessed him casually getting his hair done while enjoying a plate of biryani.Sherandra Reliving the regular Monday night gatherings they had years ago. He remembers arriving at Salman’s house for a meeting and noticing the actor’s unusual habit of eating while looking in the mirror.“I went to Salman’s place in Galaxy Apartments for a meeting. Back then, we used to have Monday night parties. He would sit at the dining table and eat while looking at himself in the mirror. He liked to look at himself in the mirror while eating. There was a little table in the kitchen with a mirror in front of it, so you were sitting next to him, but you were actually talking through the mirror,” he said during a conversation with Cyrus Broacha. The situation got even weirder when a man entered the room with medical equipment and started treating Salman without interrupting the conversation, producers said.“He was sitting there eating biryani – you know Salman, he enjoyed his food, especially after a few drinks. All of a sudden, this strange-looking guy walked in, put on gloves, took out a needle and started injecting his scalp. I was watching this in the mirror and thinking, ‘What the hell is going on here?'”Curious about what she had witnessed, Shailendra asked Salman, who calmly explained the entire process.“He just said, ‘Man, there’s a price to pay for being a star.’ He kept eating while the treatment continued.”Shailendra later discovered that Salman was undergoing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which typically promotes hair growth by using plasma from a person’s own blood.“At that time, I didn’t know what it was. I think everyone does it now – Hrithik does it, everyone does it. As you get older and your hair starts to thin, you have to do these things.”This is not the first time Shailendra has opened up about his friendship with Salman. Earlier this year, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, he talked about knowing the actor long before he became one of the biggest stars in Bollywood.According to Sheilendra, the two became friends while he was living in Kafparad, where Salman often went to meet his then girlfriend Shaheen Jafri. While describing the actor as having a generous nature, he also reflected on how the people around Salman have changed over the years.“Salman and I went back to Kafparad, where I used to live. He used to go there to meet his first girlfriend Shaheen Jafri. The problem with Salman was that he was enthusiastic. He was a great guy, but he was in strange company,” Sherendra said.He further shared his thoughts on how fame has changed Salman’s life and said that success has made the actor more cautious.“Salman was a tiger, but now he is tamed. He was born a tiger in the jungle; now he is a tiger in the zoo. Success makes you cautious, even fearful. Then people will surround you and keep telling you that you are the boss and everyone else is wrong. “Looking back on their relationship, Shailendra revealed that during Salman’s prime, they had a long-standing tradition of spending Monday nights together.“Salman and I had a tradition for three years. Every Monday night, we would party together in Bandra,” recalls Shailendra. The producer also talked about how their friendship ultimately ended. He said he had approached Salman for a collaboration in a commercial film titled Captain, but the meeting left him disappointed as several others were also invited to the discussion.“Our friendship was very strong, so I went to him and said I wanted to do this film with him – a full-fledged commercial project. But when I went to meet him, he called several people to a meeting. That was my last meeting with Salman. I felt deeply insulted,” said Shailendra.
