Kriti Sanon recently opened up about how she froze her eggs while preparing for her film “Mimi” about surrogacy. She revealed that since the surgery caused severe bloating and she started gaining weight two months before filming, she “cleverly” took the time to freeze them.In a chat with Mumbaikars, the actress further spoke about the matter and shared, “I was talking to a guy and he told me that this is the best thing you can do for yourself if you can. It’s the best gift you can give yourself. It has always stayed in my mind. Then, when I was told to gain weight, I thought now is the right time to do it.”She also said the surgery caused a lot of “hormonal disruption” and that she went through a lot of emotions while having it done.

As for how she came to the decision, the actress said she thought about it a lot and revealed that she never wanted to be “tied down” by the idea that “I need to get married now, or I need to have a baby now, and I’m doing it because I have a schedule.”She further shared her views on marriage and children, revealing that it is a step one should only take if they are ready to take it. She said, “Whether it’s marriage, whether it’s kids, when you feel in your heart that you’re ready, you need to do it. You know, it shouldn’t be out of some kind of clock or pressure.”
