Sohum Shah took to Instagram to introduce Alia Bhatt as the latest addition to the Tumbbad universe. The actor shared a series of photos of the pair against the series’ iconic red backdrop, hinting at the dark and mysterious world that awaits viewers. Sharing the pictures, Sohum wrote, “A new chapter is about to begin. Welcome to #Tumbbad2, @aliaabhatt. #PralayAayega. See you at the movie. “After the announcement, Alia Bhatt also shared her excitement about joining the sequel. The actress said she is excited to be a part of the immersive world created by the makers. She wrote, “Tumbbad has stayed with me since I first watched it. Tumbbad 2 expands the mythology Hasta
Earlier this year, the producers also confirmed that Nawazuddin Siddiqui would be joining the sequel, becoming another great addition to the cast. His entry was announced through a special poster, which sparked heated discussions among fans of the original film. Directed by Adesh Prasad, Tumbbad 2 will continue to explore the mythology of the cursed god Hastar. The sequel is expected to build on the disturbing folklore introduced in the first film while taking viewers deeper into its supernatural world.The makers have scheduled Tumbbad 2 to release on December 3, 2027.Apart from Tumbbad 2, Alia Bhatt is currently busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, in which she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
