Although “Hera Pheri 3” is mired in legal obstacles, Sunil Shetty Didn’t give up hope. The actor believes the success of Welcome to the Jungle could pave the way for the long-awaited comedy to eventually develop. Calling Hera Pheri the biggest comedy series of his career, Sunil admitted that he hopes the film will eventually hit theaters and attract audiences largely because of the huge nostalgia associated with it.In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sunil said, “Khelafiri is the biggest comedy series of my career and the nostalgia it holds is so heart-warming. The memes it keeps coming up and the memory value it has, who wouldn’t want that to happen? Fingers crossed, hopefully something magical will happen after ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.”The actor also shared his thoughts on the importance of family entertainers and said the success of films like Welcome to the Jungle will benefit the entire industry.“The success of any movie is a success for the entire industry, especially in an age where we’ve forgotten what family entertainment means and what it means to be inclusive of grandparents and grandchildren.”Praising producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s vision, Suniel added: “The Disney mentality is the mentality that Firoz Nadiadwala has and that’s why Welcome to the Jungle works. I’m happy, excited and hope more family entertainers get on board.”The actor also opened up about reuniting with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal as well as several other veteran stars in the cast. He said that despite the star-studded cast, the film still allowed every actor to shine.“The best part about this movie is that despite having so many iconic actors, you’re still able to find your niche and be appreciated just like everyone else. Akshay’s success is as important as the success of Raveena, Paresh bhai, Johnny, me or any other actor. “Looking back on the experience, Sunil said he had no hesitation in sharing screen space with such famous actors.“Films like this give you a chance to get back into the hearts of the audience. I relied on Akshay, Pareshji and Raveena to be a part of this successful franchise and I am happy that I made this choice. I am happy that I have no insecurities about these people around me,” the actor concluded.Shortly after the director made his comments priyadarshan announced his exit from Hera Pheri 3 and claimed that he would never do the film. While this announcement is disappointing for fans of the beloved series, Sunil’s optimism gives many reasons to hope that the project can still find a way forward.
