The famous actor and filmmaker shared his views on the ongoing ‘Satluj’ controversy and said that he stands by the fact that the film should be released. Initially, he shared a post on his Instagram story from the hosting OTT platform announcing that ‘Satluj’ will not be available to stream on their platform for the time being.Kashyap posted the statement with his own caption, which read: “The problem with banning something is that the more you ban something, the more people want to see it. I wasn’t even planning on watching this movie, but now I have to watch it to understand why it was banned.”He later posted another story that included a clip from the film that a fan shared online. In the screenshot, a scene featuring Arjun Rampal appears on the cover with the words “This scene was the main reason why the movie was removed from OTT”. The filmmaker also urged the public to watch the film whether it is streaming on any OTT platform or not, saying it should be watched even if one has to buy a pirated copy. He added, “Plz sab log dekho, pirate karo par dekho” (Please watch it – pirate it if you must, but do watch it).

It was previously reported that the board recommended that filmmaker Honey Trehan make more than 120 cuts to the final cut of the film. The unabridged version was recently released on ZEE5; however, within 48 hours, it was removed from the portal until further notice.
Center says ‘Satluj’ released without completion of certification process
ANI recently reported that the film did not get approval from the certification board and was temporarily pulled from India. A statement further said, “Satruji did not receive the required certification for a theatrical release. Instead of adhering to the certification process, the makers changed the title of the film and released it on an OTT platform on Friday.”The news came true just hours after Diljit Dosanjh had previously commented on the possibility of the film being removed from the platform during his recent live broadcast. During the same live broadcast, he said that although he was disappointed with everything, he was still satisfied with the response to the film and that he was watching the videos shared by fans online.
