“Satluj’s 9.5 rating is missing”
When we checked the ratings aggregation site on Wednesday afternoon, ratings for other recent releases, such as Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle , were readily available. However, the 9.5 rating of “Satluj” which was earlier titled “Panjab ’95” has completely disappeared. The film has been at the center of huge controversy ever since it was released on Zee5 last week, only to be pulled from the shelves two days later. Prior to this, the “Dear Trehan” director had been in trouble for years, with the censor board initially asking for 127 cuts. Both Haney and Trehan reportedly refused to have their names associated with the film, even with a single cut.
Screenwriter of Satluji nirenbaat About missing ratings
In a conversation with HT City, “Satluj” writer Niren Bhatt said he had no idea how or why the rating disappeared, telling the publication, “Movie kab aane wali thi, kab chali gayi humein pata nahi chala. Ab yeh IMDb rating ka…sko question 3ki question communications naic question communic question 3kisko question 3ki question.” (We don’t know when this movie came out or when it was pulled. Now regarding the IMDb rating… who had issues with it and what the issues were, there was absolutely no communication. )
Sanjay Gupta Comments on “Satluj” rating removed
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta also took note of the sudden removal of the film’s rating and shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. He expressed his disbelief, noting that the film had scored a 9.5 a day earlier and then completely disappeared. Gupta said that while he has never truly trusted or relied on these digital aggregator metrics, this incident demonstrates how fabricated and unreliable they are.

“Satruj” star Diljit Dosanjh went live on Instagram after the film was pulled from ZEE5 on Sunday. During the meeting, he encouraged people to spread links to the film if they had already downloaded it, saying it was no longer possible to prevent the film from spreading. The OTT platform later shared a statement on social media asking viewers to wait for the platform to bring the movie back and urging them not to consume pirated copies of Satluj in the meantime.
