Advocate Avnish Sikka, representing Murli Projects Pvt Ltd, said, “Today, the case filed by Rajpal Yadav has been reserved for the order. According to the Delhi High Court judgment, all 21 cases filed by Rajpal Yadav have been dismissed and the order passed by the sessions court was upheld. The court sentenced him to three months in prison; he was also ordered to pay a fine of 1.05 billion rupees in each case. The sentences of three months’ imprisonment must run concurrently. Mrs. Radha Rajpal Yadav is also one of the accused in these cases. She was ordered to pay a fine of Rs 5 lakh in each case. During sentencing in the case, his attorney prayed for a reprieve. The court denied him probation relief. The court has taken into account his repeated violations of promises made to the court and the fact that Rajpal Yadav said on his last day: “I am ready to go to jail five times but will not pay a penny”.
