‘Dharmal 4’ movie review and release updates: Ajay Devgn starrer expected to open at Rs 15 crore

Actor Jaaved Jaaferi, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dhamaal 4, has revealed whether he felt monotonous while playing the role of Manav in the film.

The actor spoke to IANS along with director Indra Kumar and actor Arshad Warsi during the promotions of the film.

After playing a character for a while, an actor can get a better grasp of the character and know what appeals to the audience and what doesn’t. When asked if being sure of the character takes away from the fun, he said, “It’s more fun because you like the character. You’re trying to think while staying within the parameters of the character. You’re constantly thinking, ‘What else can I add?’ Without going outside the parameters. The most important thing is that you have to stay within the boundaries of the character.”

He told IANS, “All actors understand the limitations of the roles they play. Take a break and a well-written script will naturally lead to good performances. When the script is not well-written, actors will encounter two problems”.

He recalled, “In my father’s day, I saw people say, ‘Sir, you do something, I only have two hours of hero, you do something’. But if we are not given the source material, what can we do?”.

“It is not ‘Dhamaal’ to make a new Gen Z joke. If a Gen Z kid comes, he may add this character. Our character cannot be Gen Z,” he added.
