Anurag Kashyap shared his review on Letterboxd, giving the film a positive review and appreciating its mainstream appeal.He wrote: “Loved it. Keeps you hooked from start to finish. It’s more mainstream and exciting. The only thing that bothered me but I think viewers will enjoy is the idea of a regular guy fighting so many thugs at the same time. Still, it’s all about greed, public and media trials, policing and politics.”
Prithviraj Sukumaran’s film holds steady at box office next day
“I, Nobody” continues to be released and the box office is stable. According to Saknielke, the film earned a net revenue of around Rs 2.22 crore on its second day of release in India.Compared with the net fundraising of Rs 2.2 billion on the opening day, the fundraising on the second day showed a slight increase of about 0.9%. Revenue came from 1,705 performances nationwide.The film’s cumulative net box office in India has reached 4.42 billion rupees. The total collection in India currently stands at Rs 5.13 crore.
Anurag Kashyap had earlier praised Mollywood Times
This is not the first Malayalam film to receive appreciation from Anurag Kashyap in recent weeks. The filmmaker had previously reviewed Nasren-starrer Mollywood Days and praised the director Abhinav Sander Nayakof storytelling.He wrote on Letterboxd, “This movie is a post-internet/social media fanboy filmmaker’s nightmare. A lot of truth and a lot of idealism. The filmmaker’s take on it all is that Abhinav Sande Nayak will only become clearer as time goes on. That’s what it is, but a little bit of romanticism in it is exactly what we were hoping for. Love this movie”.
