Prince Harry is reported to be feeling “uplifted” and “really energized” after an important family gathering with King Charles at a private country house. The Duke of Sussex spent more than an hour with his father, along with his wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie, 7, Princess Lilibet, 5, and Queen Camilla.According to the Daily Mail, friends of the Duke described him as “extremely happy” that his family would be able to visit the UK with him. The meeting was held at Highgrove on Friday between 3.30pm and 4pm and the family stayed for about an hour. The reunion represents a significant moment of reconciliation in what had been a challenging week for Harry, who recently lost a High Court privacy case against a major newspaper publisher.
The circumstances of the family’s arrival in the UK
Although Meghan and the children had originally planned to join their father on the landmark trip to London, they did not initially accompany Harry due to an ongoing dispute over taxpayer-funded police protection. However, the Duchess decided to fly her family to England for a brief meeting with the King at Highgrove. Meghan did not attend any of Harry’s subsequent Invincible Games events, where he competed in wheelchair rugby, pickleball and laser running.
