Some of these pieces have stayed with me for decades and I still find myself returning to them. My whole life has been a dream. According to The Guardian, record label Decca Classics released an official statement from the Academy Award winner, saying that signing with Decca has been the honor of a lifetime. Anthony Hopkins’ debut album performed by Grammy Award-winning conductor Gustavo Dudamel and Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as virtuoso cellist Gregorio Nieto and classical pianist Sergio Timbo. “I express my deepest gratitude and respect to maestro Gustavo Dudamel, whose artistry is an integral part of this musical journey,” he said.The single released, “Bracken Road”, was written by the actor in 1963 when he was a young actor in the Liverpool Theater Company. In another song, “My Country,” he pays homage to Welles’ humble beginnings. “I am my father’s son, the baker,” he added. Additionally, he visits Port Talbot to recall his childhood memories of his grandfather and close friends.Hopkins began improvising on the piano at age 6 and eventually composed music for local plays as a teenager. Even during his acting career, he was dedicated to the piano and continued his passion. Now, after many years, “Life of A Dream” was recorded in April and will be released on August 21, 2026.
