Sunita Ahuja recently welcomed viewers to her luxurious home in Mumbai, showcasing a home that perfectly balances luxury and spirituality. The house, estimated to be worth around Rs 16 crore, has been carefully designed with Vastu Shastra at its core. From sacred corners and elegant interiors to carefully selected décor collected from around the world, every detail reflects the home’s personal style. In a conversation with Mashable India, Sunita also said that her children Yashvardhan and Tina took an active role in decorating the house, making it a real family project.
Feng shui plays a key role in every corner
Sunita revealed that every part of the house was planned based on Feng Shui principles, which she believed would bring peace, prosperity and positive energy into their lives. For example, two Tulsi plants are placed on the diagonal of the balcony. One belongs to Sunita and the other to her daughter Tina. This space also doubles as her prayer corner, where she performs Surya Arghya prayers every morning. The balcony also houses an idol of Sai Baba, an angel-themed table decorated with miniature angel statues and candles, elephant sculptures, pyrite crystals and a large mirror, all carefully placed as per vastu suggestions.
Elegant and open living room design
Sunita explains that the living room design emphasizes openness and comfort rather than filling the space with excessive decoration.Beige paneled walls, wooden floors and layered lighting create a warm atmosphere, while the furniture adds a touch of understated luxury. The room is decorated with memorabilia and artifacts collected from the family’s travels around the world. One of the most eye-catching pieces includes an Italian green and brown sofa, paired with Versace candles and vintage-style lamps, adding a sophisticated British aesthetic to the space.
Personal style reflects family lifestyle
The living room also caters to the interests of each family member. One area is dedicated to her son Yashvardhan, complete with a large TV, a PS5 game console and a punching bag.Another eye-catching feature is the emerald green wooden bar with functional shelves, which blends seamlessly with the earthy tones of the room. The house also features a marble-topped dining table where Ahuja’s family can gather for meals and spend quality time together.
Ahuja The Heart of the Family
Sunita describes the living room as the busiest part of the house. Whether entertaining guests, hosting meetings, celebrating with friends or enjoying family time, this space remains the center of everyday life. Therefore, she believes it is crucial to ensure that rooms are maintained to Feng Shui standards as this helps maintain an atmosphere of harmony and positivity throughout the home.
