Netflix’s latest romantic drama, Cafe Musafir, is winning praise for its heartfelt storytelling and understated approach to romance. Directed by Ruchir Arun, the show is adapted from the best-selling Hindi novel of the same name by Divya Prakash Dubey and premiered on the streaming platform on Friday. The show is reportedly being produced on a controlled budget and stars Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana in key roles.As stated in various media reports, Vikrant has emerged as the highest-paid member of the cast, although he is also serving as a co-producer on projects under Homemade Stories.

According to multiple reports, Vikrant Massey was paid around Rs 10-15 crore for ‘Musafir Cafe’. Apart from playing Chand Mohan Sharma, the actor also made his debut as a co-producer of the show.According to reports, the salary of Vedika Pinto, who plays the role of Sudha, is between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore. Mahima Makwana, known as Preeti, is said to have earned around Rs 20-30 million for her acting.Actor Adil Hussain, who plays Mark, reportedly earned between Rs 3 crore and Rs 4 crore. Meanwhile, supporting actors Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui are reportedly being paid between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 2 crore, depending on their roles.

Produced by Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) and Homemade Stories, Musafir Cafe is created and written by Sharanya Rajgopal. The story follows engineer Chander Mohan Sharma, who leaves a successful career in the United States to return to Bhopal. Under pressure from his family, he meets Sudha, an independent divorce lawyer who has little interest in marriage and is focused on realizing her personal ambitions.Although the two form a connection, their lives take an unexpected turn. Chandler eventually moved to Mussoorie, opened a cafe there and started a new chapter with Preeti, whose calm and reserved character was in sharp contrast to Sudha’s personality.
