During the conversation, he joked that several of his friends told him that the Hollywood movie reminded them of “K-Ramp” because of the similar storyline.While promoting his upcoming film Chennai Love Story, Kiran explained that he was only mentioning a common plot point and had no intention of comparing the two films as complete works.As quoted by Hindustan Times, Kiran said, “I don’t know why they want to turn it into something negative. In a funny conversation, all I said was that some of my friends had watched Obsession and told me that it had the same plot points as K-Ramp. I just mentioned that there. I don’t know why they thought about it that way. Because it felt similar to say this particular movie.The actor further clarified that he has great respect for “Obsession” and acknowledged its popularity across the globe. Kieran said his comments were light-hearted and were not intended to undermine the Hollywood film.Kiran said, “Obsession is more popular than K-Ramp; it’s universally influential. I respect that a lot, I just think it’s funny. I feel like I said it casually; they won’t read it. When it’s written down, people will think I said K-Ramp is better than Obsession. I’ve never said that, so I want everyone to read what I say.” I respect other movies more than my movies; I will never disparage other people’s movies.“
