manufacturer of Nitesh Tiwariof Ramayana A grand event of Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp was held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, Ranbir Kapoor A heartfelt tribute to the veteran actor Arun Govilwho immortalized the character of Lord Ram Ramanand Sagar’s iconic television series.The event marked the start of promotional campaigns for the highly-anticipated two-part epic and brought together the film’s cast and crew.During the event, Ranbir gave an emotional speech to Arun Govil, acknowledging the veteran actor’s lasting impact on generations of audiences.Rather than comparing himself to Govil’s larger-than-life image, Ranbir said he considered it an inspiration and wanted to carry forward the values the actor brought to the role.“Arunji, you have represented this responsibility with such beauty, authenticity and dignity over the years,” Ranbir said.He added, “Your journey has inspired not only actors like me but also everyone who watches Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. You have given people confidence and inspiration.”Ranbir admitted that if he could capture even a small part of Govil’s image, he would consider his efforts a success.“The way you have made Lord Shri Ram a part of you, if I can achieve even a small part of it, I will feel that all my efforts have been fruitful.” The actor also spoke about growing up watching Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana.He said, “Since my childhood, I have grown up with the blessings of Shri Ram, his teachings and your face.”Ranbir concluded his remarks by adding: “We love you as if you were one of our own. Thank you for everything sir.”Interestingly, Arun Govil is also a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. While he is best known for playing Lord Ram in the 1987 TV adaptation, he will now be seen playing the role of Lord Ram’s father King Dasarath in the upcoming film.
‘Ramayana’ trailer to be released on July 24
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Sai Pallavi Playing the role of Sita, Yash plays the role of Ravana, Ravie Dubey plays the role of Lakshman and Sunny Deol plays the role of Hanuman.The two-part epic is being shot on IMAX, with the first part scheduled to be released on Diwali 2026 and the second part slated for release during Diwali 2027.The film’s first official trailer will premiere worldwide on July 24.
