ETimes comments on the film
ETimes had mixed reactions to the sequel, praising the actors’ efforts while pointing out flaws in the script and execution.ETimes’ review reads: “While the premise certainly had potential, the film we got rarely lived up to its claims. A ‘this should be enough’ attitude seemed to permeate every aspect, from the writing (convenient and predictable) to the staging (similar to a large-scale sitcom), the acting (broad strokes) and the music (generic, save for one hummable number). The cast is filled with actors who have entertained us in the past, and they manage to sell the film, although Aishwarya Lekshmi doesn’t feel comfortable here despite the appeal of the previous film, perhaps because of her dubbing. Even the last few cameos hardly make an impact considering the names involved. “Disclaimer: The box office numbers and data in this article were obtained from public and industry sources.
