On Vijay’s 52nd birthday, the actress Trisha Krishnan Shared a birthday photo with Vijay. The two were seen smiling together in the photo, and she wrote, “Dedicated to the person who makes it all worth it. HBD.” Soon after the photo went viral, many fans began to notice the cake included in the celebration. Nearly a month after photos from the celebration went viral on social media, the mango-vanilla cake has become one of the bakery’s most popular items.
CM cake Baker shares her surprise
Speaking to India Today, Chennai-based baker Tanvi Bokariya said the sudden response was completely unexpected. She revealed that her bakery had no idea that the cake was made for Vijay’s birthday. She said: “It was an overnight success for us. We had no idea what the cake was for. It was so special and completely caught me off guard. The last two weeks of sales have been very chaotic but I’m grateful for it.”She also added, “My team is a huge fan of CM Joseph Vijay.”
surge in orders
According to Tanvi, the bakery sold about 300 to 400 identical mango-vanilla cakes in just two weeks. She said: “We sold about 300 to 400 CM Vijay birthday cakes in just a few weeks. It’s absolutely crazy!”The cake also got a new name from a customer. Tanvi says people don’t want mango cake anymore.She said: “It’s not called mango cake anymore. It’s called CM cake now. That’s how customers order now: ‘Can we get CM cake?'”She also said this is the largest order her bakery has ever received for a single cake.Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Jana Nayagan. The film, said to be his last, is set to hit theaters on July 23. After long-term issuance by CBFC, it has now obtained an “A” grade certificate.
