The film, currently in its fourth week in theaters, saw a sharp drop in box office numbers on Friday, but luckily, it rebounded over the weekend. Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated epic “The Odyssey” was released and has become a new favorite among Indian moviegoers.
The total collection of “Welcome to the Jungle” to date
According to Sacnilk, “Welcome to the Jungle” earned a net revenue of around Rs 38 lakh in its 23 days of release and played around 719 shows across the country. With this, the film’s total net earnings in India are estimated to have reached Rs 132.43 crore, while its total collection was around Rs 157.34 crore.

The film had a strong opening and grossed nearly 930 million rupees in its first week alone. But early momentum slowed in the coming weeks. Collections took a big hit in the second week, falling to around Rs 3,190 crore, while revenue in the third week further fell to single digits at Rs 680 crore, the report said. Now entering its fourth weekend, prices start as low as Rs 38 lakh.
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ faces competition from ‘The Jungle’ Odyssey ‘
The film’s box office slowdown appears to be tied to the release of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” which is releasing in India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The Hollywood epic had a strong opening with an estimated first-day box office of Rs 2,076 crore and net revenue of around Rs 1,740 crore. High attendance in IMAX and other premium formats helped the film dominate theaters and premium screens, attracting audiences who might otherwise have opted for a local film.
