The dance performance that changed everything

Sai Pallavi developed a passion for dance at a young age. She grew up in Coimbatore, originally from Kotagiri in the Nilgiri province, and was encouraged by her mother, Radha Kannan, a trained dancer. Inspired by performers such as Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai, Sai spent countless hours watching dance performances and learning through observation.However, her first stage performance became an unforgettable experience for different reasons.A few years ago, Sai Pallavi recalled an incident with Smita on Nijam and said, “I think I was on the first par. I got the boy to cut my hair. It was to Shah Rukh Khan’s song, Karisma Kapoor’s Dil To Pagal Hai! That was my first dance.”She then described how a wardrobe mishap left her embarrassed in front of an audience.She shared, “It wasn’t a stage, like the podium we have here. It was an inter-school competition. I don’t know why my mom took me there, but I went with her. They used a clip to put a dupatta in my hair to make it look like long hair. My mom fell off midway through the performance and I felt really uncomfortable. I think I dropped to my knees and started crying.”Despite this incident, her mother continued to encourage her, helping her regain her confidence and continue her pursuit of dance.

Balancing a career in medicine and film

Sai Pallavi was born on May 9, 1992. Before entering the film industry, he followed an unconventional path. In addition to her passion for acting, she holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Tbilisi State Medical University in Georgia. During those years, she also appeared on dance reality shows and smaller acting assignments before her breakthrough.Her career changed dramatically in 2015 with Alphonse Puthren’s Premam. She won widespread appreciation for her understated and authentic performance as Malar. What is certain is that “Mara”‘s miss did give Sai a strong start.Instead of opting for traditional commercial roles, Sai Pallavi has structured her filmography around strong roles. Sai Pallavi is now gearing up for Ramayana, one of the biggest projects of her career. She plays Sita; Ranbir Kapoor Depiction of Lord Rama.During the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi, Sai Pallavi spoke publicly about the film for the first time. She expressed her gratitude for being chosen for the role and revealed that she had been working on the ambitious project for almost three years. The cast also includes Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
