Actor-politician Kamal Haasan has extended his support to students protesting in the National Capital Region of Delhi over the alleged NEET paper leaks and reported student suicides related to the controversy. The ‘Indian’ actor shared a strongly worded message on X (formerly Twitter) calling for urgent reforms to the education system.

In his post, Kamal addressed what he described as a growing crisis in the education system. He said student voices don’t get the attention they deserve.Kamal wrote: “When a child cries, we should listen. Instead, we wait until too many children die. A system that replaces tutoring with learning, anxiety with curiosity, crime with merit is rotten. When children encounter roadblocks and batons instead of answers, a nation has failed.”Apart from expressing solidarity with the students, Kamal also addressed social activist Sonam Wangchuck in his address. He called on Wangchuck to end his fast and said the country would continue to need his guidance in the days ahead.He added: “@Wangchuk66, the country needs your conscience on its journey ahead. Please end your fast. To the children of India: You are the best of us. You have done your duty. It is time for the country to do your duty. Tovino Thomas also condemned the alleged use of force
Earlier, Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas also reacted to the ongoing protests.
