The singer said he often takes public stances in support of colleagues even when others choose to remain silent.Speaking about Udit, he said he wrote to express support and encourage him to acknowledge the incident and not let the controversy define him.Abhijit also cited another instance involving Sonu Nigam, saying he was one of the few who had publicly supported the singer in previous controversies.“When people targeted Sonu, I was by his side. Even those who were close to him either kept quiet or kept their distance. I was there,” he said. Abhijit said friendships in the entertainment industry are often one-sided and he believed that whenever he felt people needed help, he would support them, regardless of whether the move was reciprocated.
