The Ramayana Group meeting is scheduled for Thursday at 3:15 pm PDT in the iconic Ballroom 20, which can accommodate approximately 4,800 attendees. The session will be moderated by entertainment journalist Coy Jandreau and will be attended by Ranbir, Yash, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.
In addition to discussing the film’s ambitious vision, massive production, character journeys, and adaptation of the ancient Indian epic for a global audience, the team is expected to reveal exclusive footage ahead of the release of the official trailer.
According to the Comic-Con schedule, the demonstration will take place between 3:15 and 4:15 AM (IST) on July 24, and will be the first public display of footage from the film.
However, fans in India may have to wait a little longer to watch the trailer.
A screenshot shared online by the official social media account of PVR Pictures revealed that the trailer will be released on digital platforms and cinemas on July 24 at 10 am (IST). Meanwhile, some online reports suggest that the launch could take place as early as 8 am IST. However, the producers have only confirmed the release date and have not yet announced the official time.
Comic-Con is also expected to unveil a specially produced English-dubbed version of the trailer. According to the production team, the film uses artificial intelligence-assisted lip synchronization technology to enable the actors’ mouth movements to naturally match the English dialogue. This is part of the film’s international distribution strategy.
SDCC’s official summary reads: “In the age of gods and kings, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice, and the greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and vengeance, powerful enough to shatter the universe.”
This mythological epic stars one of the biggest teams in Indian cinema. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash plays Ravana, Sunny Deol plays Lord Hanuman and Raviey.
The supporting cast includes Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Arun Govil as King Dashraive, Voik Oi3 (Vidyutjihva), Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Adinath Kothare as Bharata, and Anupam Kher as the voice of Jatayu.
While Ramayana is slated to release on Diwali 2026, industry reports suggest that the film may release on November 8 and the official release date is expected to be revealed in the trailer.
