However, he specifically talked about how everything affected his life going forward and how she went through hell for him. He shared, “It was hell for Tracy, it was really hard for her — and it still is because things are always changing, but I said to her, ‘I’ve got to go all the way here. There’s no halfway stuff.'”He further commented that he wanted to be proud of his diagnosis and be careful around others. “I started to understand how these people felt, who didn’t have the choices I had, the connections, the reasons to be optimistic. I needed to normalize it and keep it that way. I said, ‘I can’t hide this. F*** vanity,'” the actor added.The actor also revealed that he was surprised by the reception he received when he went public with his diagnosis, saying people living with the disease reacted openly to his announcement. “I thought, ‘Well, fuck you! I have Parkinson’s and you’re celebrating,’ and I get it. People back then would never in a million years tell you they had Parkinson’s,” he shared.
