(This) was probably the first story I ever heard. My grandfather used to tell me these stories. You have your imagination and you have seen many people describe the story in many ways. So as an actor, what you bring to the table and your understanding of the character is challenging. Thankfully, my director and writer gave me the space so I could play the character in a different way.“Yash also admitted that previous portrayals put added pressure on his performance. He added, “If you know the character and everyone knows it, then it becomes challenging. If it’s a new movie and you’re telling a new story, it becomes the character no matter what you do. But if people already have a certain image of the character because a lot of people have played it in different ways, then that’s extra pressure on the actor.
