Suryavanshi announced himself on the international stage in a memorable series against Zimbabwe, scoring 151 runs in three games at an average of 50.33. His two half-centuries earned him the Player of the Series award and a significant rise of 230 places in the ICC rankings.The teenage opener is now ranked 48th among T20I batsmen with a rating of 536, a career-high ranking.While he remains behind India’s senior stars, the leap underlines the rapid impact he has made in international cricket and cements his status as one of the brightest young talents in the game.
Ishan Kishan achieves historic milestone
In batting rankings, Ishan Kishan is firmly ranked as the world’s number one T20I batsman with a rating of 910, comfortably ahead of Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan, who is ranked second with 848 points.Kishan reached a career-high 916 runs after his brilliant knock of 81 in the second T20I against Zimbabwe. This record is the third-highest batting rate in the history of T20I cricket, after Abhishek Sharma (931) and England’s Dawid Malan (919).Although his ratings dropped slightly after the final, Kishan’s career-high ratings of 916 are still higher than the peak ratings achieved by Indian superstars Suryakumar Yadav (912) and Virat Kohli (909).As the ICC noted, “Sooryavanshi’s rating of 536 is well behind his more experienced teammates, but Kishan can now boast of having a better career batsman rating than more accomplished Indian players like Suryakumar Yadav (912) and Virat Kohli (909).”

India had a productive week in the T20I rankings.Tilak Varma moved up two spots to sixth among batsmen, while captain Shreyas Iyer moved up seven spots to 24th after the Zimbabwe series.Among bowlers, Ravi Bishnoi surged 31 places to 41st after taking three wickets in the series. Varun Chakravarthy, who missed the tour due to injury, dropped three places but remained within the top ten.Despite the series defeat, Zimbabwe had reason to celebrate. Ryan Burl has moved up 6 spots to joint 85th among T20I batsmen, while fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has moved up 10 spots to 26th in the bowling rankings.
