Sachin Tendulkar ended his storied 24-year international cricket career as the highest run-scorer and century creator in the history of international cricket. He made his international debut for India in 1989 at the age of 16 and he continued to play from then until his emotional farewell at home in Mumbai in November 2013. He broadly represented the gold standard of modern batting, eventually completing 34,357 international runs and an unprecedented 100 internationals.
