Producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that the trailer will be released globally on Thursday, July 30, during the auspicious Brahma Muhurat.The news has reignited excitement among fans who have been eagerly awaiting their first full look at the ambitious mythological epic starring its star cast. In view of the above, we will launch our trailer globally at a later date.”During the delay, footage believed to be from the trailer surfaced online on more than one occasion. The allegedly leaked footage went viral on X (formerly Twitter), with many fans asking the production team to release an official version.

Star-studded cast leads epic production

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who is currently developing a two-part film adaptation of the ancient Indian epic. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The cast also includes Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.The first installment of Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled to be released during Diwali 2026. Chapter 2 will be released during Diwali 2027.
