Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer film Jana Nayagan entered its first Tuesday at the box office after an impressive opening weekend. As expected, the film’s playback slowed down a bit on weekdays, but it continued to add to the overall collection across India.According to the latest live estimates by Sacnilk, the film’s net collection on its sixth day in India is estimated at Rs 98 lakh. The film currently has 3,106 screenings nationwide. Tamil version continues to drive business
The Tamil version remains the largest contributor to the film collection. On Tuesday, the company’s net income was estimated at Rs 82 lakh. The Hindi version contributed around Rs 9 lakh, while the Telugu version added another Rs 7 lakh to the total. The film is currently showing in 1,364 Tamil screenings, 1,419 Hindi screenings and 323 Telugu screenings, taking the total number of screenings nationwide to 3,106. The overall morning occupancy rate of the Tamil version was 19.08%, far ahead among the three language versions. The Telugu version followed closely with a viewership rating of 14.90%, while the Hindi version recorded a viewership rating of 8.58% in the morning show. These numbers are expected to improve as more audiences attend afternoon, evening and evening shows.
Collections drop after strong weekend opening
‘Jana Nayagan’ begins its weekday journey after impressive weekend sales. The film’s net revenue on its premiere Sunday was Rs 32 crore, which dropped sharply by more than 50% to Rs 10.15 crore on Monday.
OTT launch still awaiting official confirmation
While theatrical releases are continuing, a digital premiere for the film has not yet been officially announced. There are reports that “Jana Nayagan” may be released on ZEE5 in mid-August 2026 after its theatrical release on July 23. However, the producers are yet to confirm a streaming date.
