Maruti Brezza variants explained: Features, engines and more

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza with fresh styling, new technology and a significantly expanded feature list, while retaining the familiar four-model line-up. The compact SUV continues to be offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ models. Buyers can also choose from petrol, turbo petrol, automatic and CNG powertrain options depending on the variant. The features offered by each edition are detailed below.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Variants Features

The entry-level LXi focuses on basic functionality while covering the basics of security. It comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ABS, Hill Hold Assist and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Maruti also offers three-point seat belts for all passengers, manual air conditioning, tilt-adjustable steering, front power windows and a dual-tone cabin. On the outside, it comes with halogen projector headlights with LED DRLs and steel wheels with full wheel covers, making it the most affordable way to own a Brezza.Upgrading to VXi will bring significant improvements to your equipment. The model comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering wheel-mounted controls, four-speaker sound system with tweeters, rear air-conditioning vents and front center armrest. It also comes with rear electric windows, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, tilt and telescopic steering, height-adjustable driver’s seat and alloy wheels.The turbo-petrol version of the VXi further adds practical features such as a rear wiper, front fog lights, reversing camera, front parking sensors and rear cross-traffic alert.The ZXi version comes with blind-spot monitors, safe exit warning, 360-degree HD camera, front parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), head-up display, wireless mobile phone charger and cruise control. It also comes with LED projector headlights, LED taillights, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.The top of the range is the ZXi+, the most feature-rich Brezza on sale. It comes with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ARKAMYS audio tuning, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Alexa voice assistant and adaptive cruise control. It also retains features like blind spot monitor, safe exit warning, 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, TPMS, wireless charger and auto-folding ORVM.Other highlights of the flagship interior include a smart key that unlocks the door, rear fast USB charging port, leather-wrapped steering wheel, four-color cabin theme, wing-shaped rear headrests, machined alloy wheels, LED projector headlights and fully painted body cladding, making it the most comprehensively equipped version of the SUV.

Engine and transmission options

Maruti Suzuki offers the updated Brezza with multiple powertrain options across the lineup. The LXi comes with a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a 1.5-litre K15C petrol-CNG engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.The VXi carries over the same engine options, while also adding a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The ZXi continues to be available with petrol and CNG powertrains, while the range-topping ZXi+ comes with a turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre petrol automatic gearbox, giving buyers a choice between performance and convenience.
