Actor Monty Nath, in his latest talk show chat with Vicky Lalwani, talked about how he got his first film Prem Rog and how he was initially cast in Manoj Kumar’s film. In the interview, he revealed that he and Kumar’s brother Rajiv Kumar often played stunt doubles or extras in films like “Kranti” and “Chana Jor Garam”. “We were doing a grounding session. He asked us to get in front of the camera because he wanted to do a film with us, ‘Kakuri ke Shaheed’,” he shared.“He wanted me to play the role of Bhagat Singh,” he adds, “but, somehow, it didn’t work out.”However, Ness said the project never happened as he ended up getting another big offer to appear in front of the camera as one of the main cast members.He shared that he got his first role because of Raj Kapoor. However, it was Manoj Kumar’s encouragement that gave him the strength to accept the role. He shared more details and added, “In 1980, I got married. So, I had to start. I couldn’t wait for him to launch me. I had to start. Well, shoot kat udhar, RK me, Raj uncle (Raj Kapoor), set pe kabhi kabhi aate the. Toh unhe bola Raj Uncle ne, meri paas chota, sa”. The multi-starrer film “Kranti” is one of Manoj Kumar’s greatest films. Ness assisted him in making the film, which was one of his greatest achievements at the time. Talking about the film, the former actor shared, “Director Manoj Kumar did not compromise with producer Manoj Kumar. It is a big film.”He also revealed that Dilip Kumar often told Manoj Kumar to stop shooting because he was tired.
