Explaining how he approached the mindset of the character, he said, “I read a lot of books and met a lot of scholars. I practiced yoga for two years. I had a guru named Suvir who used to sit and meditate with me for hours and get me really close to the teachings of Lord Rama. It was really understanding the text because we had the text.
