Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Kajal Aggarwal explained why she chose to prioritize South films, saying that quality of work has always been her priority. “The quality of work I got in South was not what I got in Bollywood. The roles I wanted…my priority was quality not quantity. South cinema has given me a lot of opportunities, so why should I play an ordinary role in Bollywood? ” she said.The actor added that language has never been a defining factor in her career. “My priority has always been meaningful films. Language has never been a barrier for me because I love the craft of filmmaking. It took me seven films to really fall in love with acting, but once I fell in love with acting, I was totally into it,” Kajal shared.

Actor says Bollywood can learn punctuality from South

Kajal Aggarwal also pointed out a key difference between the two industries: punctuality. “Bollywood should learn punctuality from the South. In Hindi films, nothing happens on time. In the South, people work by the clock. I am used to reaching the sets on time and I like this discipline,” she said.Kajal Aggarwal recalled an incident from her Bollywood career and revealed, “Salman Khan Made me wait the longest, I’m not used to it. He would arrive in the afternoon or even evening. Because I have a lot of time, I go to the gym on set. I have become accustomed to the discipline followed by southern films. ” She also pointed out that southern cinema has evolved in terms of the portrayal of women. “The industry is now creating stronger, freer roles for women. They are no longer obsessed with the belly button. I always draw the line and never agree to a scenario like this,” she said.
