Actor JoJu George has made serious accusations against an unnamed celebrity couple. The actor, who was speaking during an Instagram Live session related to the release of his latest film Varavu, alleged that a Malayalam actor and his wife have been conducting a PR campaign against him. Joju, who did not name anyone, claimed the campaign was a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image. He also said that this practice is not limited to one person or family in the industry.According to the actor, paid promotions are becoming increasingly common in Malayalam films. However, he did not identify anyone he was referring to.

Claims multiple actors are using paid PR

During a live interaction, Joju further elaborated on his allegations, claiming that several big names in the Malayalam film industry are using paid PR tactics. “I am aware of this type of activity but I will not name any names or provide further details,” he said.The actor’s remarks come at a time when “Valavu” has faced mixed negative reactions after its theatrical release. Directed by Shaji Kailas, the film was criticized for its ’90s-style storytelling and execution, which most viewers considered outdated.

In addition to allegations of a paid PR campaign, Joju also spoke about what he said was a coordinated negative campaign against “Waravu”.According to him, the criticism surrounding the film wasn’t entirely organic. He claimed there was an organized effort to sway public opinion against the plan following its release.“Varavu” is directed by Shaji Kailas and is set against the backdrop of the high mountains of Kerala.
