Ajay Devganfirst cooperation Anand Rai Given that this marks the superstar’s return to action films after Dharmaal 4, it is expected to create a huge response. But things took a turn when the first trailer of the film, ‘Chauhaan’, immediately sparked controversy after its release. Both the Chauhan community and the Kshatriya Parishad objected to certain elements in the promo, forcing the makers to replace Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub’s voice with another artiste within days. Now, weeks later, the actor has broken his silence on the matter.
Zeshan declares: “I have nothing to do with this movie”
Zeeshan issued a statement in an interview with X clarifying that he has no relationship with ‘Chauhaan’. He didn’t directly reveal the title of the film, but revealed that he was asked to “dubb it a few months ago without any reference.” Given his long-standing association with Aanand L Rai and often appearing in the director’s films, Zeeshan explains, “I did it out of goodwill and without asking for more because I knew the producer personally. As soon as the trailer was released and I saw the context in which it was (mis)used, I asked the filmmakers to remove my voice from the trailer as I had nothing to do with the film. “

The film was reportedly inspired by the real-life Jama Masjid incident

During the rally, the crowd suddenly turned violent and hurled stones at police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel, unaware that plainclothes police had been monitoring their every move. However, the makers are yet to confirm if Chauhaan is officially based on real events.
