Brenda Frick dies at 81

Brenda Fricker has died at her home in Dublin aged 81. Her long-time manager, Phil Belfield, confirmed that she left for her heavenly residence on July 16. “We will never see her again, and the world is a less beautiful place without her,” Belfield shared, according to the BBC. “I was honored to know her, love her and work with her, and she will always have a place in my heart and the hearts of so many film and TV fans around the world.”Shortly after news of her death broke, tributes and well-wishes poured in. Her Casualty co-star Derek Thompson released a statement, saying, “This is truly the best actor I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with a lot of actors,” while Cathy Shipton, from the same show, shared, “She lived her life bravely.” Tánaiste Simon Harris also paid tribute, calling her a “national treasure.”As of this writing, her agent has not disclosed any information regarding her death.
