According to a report in Hindustan Times, Zee acquired the digital streaming and satellite rights of “Vrushakarma” for nearly Rs 50 crore. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, the deal is said to be one of the biggest non-theatrical deals for Telugu cinema in recent years. The acquisition is expected to cover Zee5’s OTT premiere rights and television broadcast rights. Industry experts believe the deal significantly strengthens the film’s pre-release business, allowing producers to recoup much of their production costs even before the film is released.
