When she chose acting, she said her teachers were “really disappointed” and couldn’t understand why she would give up what they thought was a safe, hopeful future.Recalling her school days, Archana said she was always topping her class and one of her teachers’ favorite students, “I was always topping my class and definitely the teacher’s favorite. My teachers always said, ‘You should join IAS or IFS.'” Back then, if you were good at academics, people automatically assumed you would pursue one of these careers. This is exactly what my teacher expected of me. “The actress admits that her decision to enter the film industry came as a shock to those who mentored her, “so when I told them I wanted to be an actress and go into the film industry, they were really disappointed. They simply couldn’t understand why I would give up on a future they thought was so promising. “Looking back, Archana believes following her passion was the right decision.“Oddly enough, I was both my teachers’ favorite and their biggest disappointment. Looking back on it now, I find it funny. But life has a funny way of working out.
