veteran actor Paresh Rawal I’ve never been one to mince words. While his critically acclaimed performances have earned him immense respect over the decades, his outspoken views on social media have often landed him in controversy. Looking back on those moments, the actor admitted that his outspokenness online did more harm than good. In a recent conversation, Paresh opened up about his temper, expressed regret over several of his tweets, and revealed that his habit of interacting on Twitter has even affected his health.Talking about his nature, Paresh said in an interview with Vicky Lalwani: “Look, I have nothing to gain from anyone. I don’t want to let anyone down. I am not driven by greed. No matter what I have, I already feel like God has given me enough. So I’m not greedy. Why would I do that to someone? That’s why I’m open and honest with everyone. “The actor also looked back on an old incident where he admitted to punching an audience member during a stage show. He called his actions “stupid” and said he deeply regretted losing control. “As for the thing where I talked about hitting people… the fact is they were making comments. Comments kept coming, even from other actors. It became a joke and then I got carried away. This is so stupid. I jumped in. I was totally wrong. It happens, but I will never do it again. I regret. I really do. Artists should be able to control themselves and their environment. “Reflecting on his controversial social media activity, Paresh admitted that one of his most criticized tweets was directed at the author Arundhati Roy – should never have been released. “Yes, I wrote it. I shouldn’t do this. I shouldn’t have said that. “He revealed that he has now largely stepped away from Twitter due to the toll it took on his physical and mental health. “I almost don’t use Twitter anymore because it’s so harmful to my health. In fact, my blood pressure spiked. My doctor told me clearly: don’t watch news channels before going to bed, and only read the newspaper at noon after waking up. If you need to know about any important news, it will find its way to you. You don’t have to sit there and get yourself excited about everything. “The actor admits that he also contributes to the negativity that often occurs on social media. “A lot of people see social media as their personal dumping ground, and I feel equally responsible for that. People write whatever comes to mind because they have a platform. No one is listening, so you just type. I never abuse people. My sarcasm is sharp enough. I will not stoop to the use of foul language. But even with such irony, I shouldn’t dwell on it. There is so much negativity and toxicity out there. “Paresh also revisited his criticism of film critic Anupama Chopra’s review of “Dhurandhar”. While he insists the film deserves a more balanced discussion, he says criticism should always be constructive. “I think Durandhar is a well-made film. Some people will like it and some won’t, and that’s fine. But then write about it. Give constructive criticism. That’s how it should be. The opposite is not true. This is what I feel is wrong. “Explaining why he referred to Chopra as “Miss Irrelevant” in the post, the actor added, “Yeah, but the truth is, no one really listens to what you have to say. You can write whatever you want and it’ll hardly change anything.” Instead, it became a trend. Well, they’re doing their job and that’s okay. “When asked about the online abuse and threats Chopra received after her tweet went viral, Paresh strongly condemned the behavior. “That’s wrong. You can’t treat a person like that. She’s a lady, you know. She’s an educated, cultured woman. She’s Vikram Chandra’s sister, for God’s sake.”He also recalled the grace the two displayed Vidhu Vinod Chopra After controversy, Anupama Chopra reveals they later contacted him about actor son’s job Aditya Rawal.Paresh Rawal was last seen in ‘Bhoot Bangla’.
