The Uttar Pradesh Subordinated Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has launched the One-time Registration (OTR) system to make the application process easier for candidates appearing for Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) and other recruitment examinations. The new facility, which is being provided free of charge, is aimed at reducing the need for candidates to fill in the same details every time they apply for government recruitment exams.Although the OTR system is new for the UPSSSC examination, similar registration systems are already used in several government recruitment examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), State Public Service Commissions (State PSCs) and other state recruitment boards.
what is UPSSSC OTR system ?
Under the new system, candidates only need to register and submit their personal information once. Once the OTR number is generated, the same information will automatically be used for future UPSSSC recruitment applications. To complete registration, candidates must verify their mobile number and email address. They are also required to provide details such as name, parents’ names, date of birth, category, address and educational qualifications.Applicants must also upload a color photo taken within the last six months and sign it in the prescribed format.
Details cannot be changed after registration
UPSSSC advises candidates to fill in all the information carefully while registering. Once the OTR number is generated, the details submitted during registration cannot be edited or modified.
PET scores are valid for three years
The committee also confirmed that PET scores will be valid for three years. If candidates have more than one valid PET score during this period, they will be allowed to use the highest score when applying for future recruitment exams. The OTR system was initially proposed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath 2023. It has now been launched along with the new UPSSSC website to make the recruitment process simpler, more transparent and convenient for government job aspirants.
