Comedian Vir Das admits he missed out on a role in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming film “Digger.” On Monday, after the first trailer for the Tom Cruise-starrer was released, Das shared his reaction on X and then deleted the post. Das wrote, “There were two auditions for this. They went with Riz Ahmed. Very frustrating, but that’s life. The script was crazy in a good way.” The candid admission showed that he gracefully accepted not getting the role.

Supporting actors include John Goodman as an ailing U.S. president who urges Rockwell to resolve the crisis. Jesse Plemons, Sandra Wheeler, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Burn Gorman, Robert John Burke and Michael Stuhlbarg also star. The project is expected to be released on October 2, raising expectations for the audience.

The actor also announced the cast of his upcoming film Baara Number, which marks his first foray into the horror genre. The film brings together Sheeba Chaddha, Arunoday Singh, Ahsaas Channa, Atul Kulkarni, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Suhail Nayyar, Puja Sarup and Naveen Kaushik.
