After investing in real estate in Ayodhya, Ranbir Kapoor He expanded his real estate portfolio by purchasing nearly 25 acres of land in Pune’s Mulshi taluka for Rs 1,642 crore, according to property registration. The transaction was registered on April 30, 2026 and includes four adjacent plots located in the village of Pimpri. The largest plot has an area of 43,800 square meters and cost Rs 707 crore. Another plot of land measuring 29,900 sq m was purchased for Rs 462 crore, while a plot of 21,400 sq m was purchased for Rs 331 crore. According to documents obtained by CRE Matrix, the fourth and smallest plot of land measuring 8,900 square meters was acquired for Rs 139 crore.The four plots cover a total area of 1,04,000 square meters, or approximately 25.7 acres, and the total transaction value is Rs 16.42 crore. Property registration documents show that the purchase attracted stamp duty of Rs 82.13 million.This isn’t Kapoor’s only recent land purchase. In May 2026, The House of Abhinandan Lodha announced that the actor had acquired a plot of land for his project ‘The Sarayu’ in a deal worth approximately Rs 33.1 crore.The 2,134-square-foot parcel is part of a 75-acre development along the Sarayo River. According to the company, the project will feature a club, more than 35 lifestyle amenities and a five-acre all-vegan luxury hotel operated by The Leela.Ranbir Kapoor’s latest investment reflects a wider trend of Bollywood celebrities looking for real estate opportunities outside Mumbai. Over the past few years, several actors and public figures have diversified their real estate portfolios by investing in agricultural and non-agricultural land, holiday homes and upscale residential developments in destinations such as Alibaug, Lonavala, Pune and Goa.Apart from Kapoor, celebrities include Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have also invested in land and prime real estate projects across the country.
