The Kia Syros EV, expected to debut later this month, has been spotted. Images circulating online recently reveal a production-ready model without camouflage. Here’s a quick look at the details on what we can expect from the upcoming electric SUV.Visually, the Syros EV is almost identical to the gasoline-powered Syros. It retains the same upright stance, lighting elements and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, the electric version has a slimmer front grille, slightly modified bumper, and the charging port is located on the left front fender. The cabin is also expected to be very similar to the standard Syros. Spy shots give us a look at the dual-tone interior along with the same dual-screen setup and dual-tone three-spoke steering wheel. Kia may add EV-specific graphics and software to the infotainment system while keeping the overall dashboard layout unchanged. In terms of features, the Syros EV is expected to offer a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control and a premium audio system. Safety equipment may include six airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system and ADAS.Although Kia has yet to officially confirm powertrain details, the Syros EV is expected to share its electric underpinnings with the globally sold Hyundai Inster EV. If this happens, the SUV may be offered with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery pack options. In the international market, the Inster EV claims a range of up to 369 kilometers.
