Regarding the film’s removal from OTT, Shashi Ranjan expressed his dissent against the ban on historically themed films, adding that such restrictions tend to spark greater curiosity among viewers. He further added that depicting history through movies will not mislead today’s well-informed youth and expressed hope that the movie will return to digital platforms soon.

Speaking to IANS, Shashi said, “After a long time, I watched a film that gave me a triple reaction. First, I was very moved after watching the film. Secondly, the story and the way it was made completely surprised me. After many years, I came across a film with such beautiful narrative and strong emotions. Among all the films released in the past few years, this is one of the best films I have seen.”“I believe that banning films of any kind serves no purpose and causes more harm. When a film is banned, it creates curiosity as to why it was banned. I don’t think showing history to today’s youth will lead them in the wrong direction. I strongly disagree with that view. There are many films that highlight the darker chapters of history. I don’t think today’s educated young audiences would be distracted after watching a film like this. I find it a pity that the film has been removed from OTT platforms and I hope it comes back soon. ” added Shashi Ranjan.
