England captain Harry Brooke continued his brilliant performance against India in the fifth and final T20I at the Rose Bowl in Southampton to rewrite the record books. With another explosive knock on the series final, Brooke became the first England batsman to score more than 200 runs in a bilateral T20I series at home, underlining his dominance in the five-match series.The right-hander also surpassed Nicholas Pooran’s 184 runs in the three-match T20I series against India in 2022 to become the highest total by a batsman against India in a bilateral T20I series.

The duo combined for a brilliant 233-run stand for the second wicket, one of the highest second-wicket scores in T20I history, as England dominated from the power play right through to the end.Buttler led the way with a 64-ball 131, marking the second T20I century of his international career. At the other end, Brooke continued his excellent series with an unbeaten 95 off 45 balls, reaching his half-century off just 19 balls before falling well short of 100.
