Singer and composer Palaash Muchhal got into legal trouble after marrying him Mandana was cancelled. Actor and producer Vidnyan Mane filed an FIR in which he leveled multiple allegations against Palash and claimed that Palash cheated him of Rs 40 lakh. In the latest development in the legal dispute, Sangli’s court rejected his anticipatory bail application in a case registered under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. His legal team has confirmed the decision will be challenged in a higher court.According to court documents obtained, a Sangli court on Friday, July 10, rejected Muhar’s anticipatory bail plea. Confirming the development, Mohal’s lawyer and advocate Abhijit Desai told HT City, “Yes, the news is true and we plan to challenge the order.”Earlier this year, Mane told the same portal that Muhal allegedly defrauded him of over Rs 40 lakh for investing in an unreleased film. He also accused the singer of being unfaithful to his ex-fiancée, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana.In response to the accusations at the time, Mouhal announced that he had taken legal action against Mane. “My lawyer Shreyansh Mithare has issued a defamation legal notice worth Rs 10 crore to Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane for making false, outrageous and highly defamatory allegations deliberately defaming my reputation and character,” he wrote in a social media post.Mane, who lives in Sangli, is a childhood friend of Smriti Mandana and is close to the former couple. Muchhal and Mandhana were engaged and were expected to get married in Sangli in November 2025, but the wedding was eventually called off. The two later confirmed the news of their breakup via social media.According to Mane’s complaint, the latest incident occurred at a toll plaza on the Sangli-Ashta highway on November 22. He alleged that during a confrontation, Muchhar made derogatory caste-based remarks towards him.Following the complaint, the police registered an FIR under Section 3(1) and Sections 351(2) and 352 of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.According to the report, the dispute was related to alleged financial transactions. Police said Muhar took Rs 25 lakh from Mane for his film production business. When Mane repeatedly demanded the money back, it allegedly led to an argument between the two that ultimately led to this case.
