He noted that his previous commitment to the Ghostbusters series may have been the reason why he wasn’t able to take on the role. “I think I’ve signed up for a Jason Bourne movie,” he said.

Despite missing out on the project, Damon made it clear that his desire to work with Kapoor has not diminished. “I think he’s always been on my list, so I wanted to give it another try. It’s like I’ve been carrying a debt for 20 years. That’s it,” he added.
