Gill is currently in England with the Indian team preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England. Despite a busy international schedule, he attended two of the UK’s biggest sporting events during the tour. Earlier this week, Gill experienced his first Formula One race after attending the British Grand Prix at Silverstone as a VIP guest. The India skipper enjoyed behind-the-scenes fun throughout the race weekend, visiting the paddock, interacting with members of the Formula One fraternity and getting an up-close look at areas usually reserved for teams, drivers and special invitees. On the field, Gill performed well in the bilateral series. He shot an unbeaten 84 in the first match and then shot 154 in the second match. In the third and final game, the opener dropped himself down the batting order and India cruised to a comfortable nine-wicket win. India will face England in the fifth and final T20I at Southampton on Saturday before shifting focus to the three-match ODI series.
