CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to declare the Class 10 Second Board Examination Result 2026. As of July 6, 2026, the committee has not confirmed the announcement date and time and the results link on the official platform has not yet been activated. Students appearing for the second board exams are awaiting notification and are advised to have their login credentials ready to avoid last-minute delays after the release of results.The Class 10 Second Board Examination will be conducted from May 15, 2026 to May 21, 2026 under the newly launched dual board examination system of CBSE. The examination was introduced to provide eligible students another opportunity to improve their results in the same semester and compartment candidates may also appear subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria. Although CBSE is yet to make an official announcement on the filing date, the results are likely to be announced this week.More than 6.68 lakh candidates are waiting to be announcedA total of 6,68,854 applicants were received for the second examination. Of these, 5,25,655 students appeared under the enhanced category, while 85,285 candidates were registered as compartment students. Another 57,914 candidates covered categories related to improvements and compartments.CBSE will follow a best-of-two policy to prepare the final results. Under this system, the higher marks obtained by an eligible student in the first board examination or the second board examination will be taken into account while preparing the final grade.Students classified in compartment categories and those seeking to make progress in up to three subjects are eligible to appear for the second examination. Candidates falling under the basic repeat category and those who failed or were absent in three or more subjects are not eligible.First time board exam pass rate 93.70%Ahead of the second board examination, CBSE has announced the Class 10 first board examination results with an overall pass percentage of 93.70%. Out of 24,71,777 students who participated, 23,16,008 qualified.Among these districts, Trivandrum and Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.79% respectively. Chennai follows with 99.58% and Bengaluru with 98.91%. The pass percentages for Delhi West and Delhi East were 97.45% and 97.33% respectively.In the school category, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has a pass percentage of 99.57%, followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya with a pass percentage of 99.42%. Private schools account for 93.77%, public schools account for 91.43%, and government-aided schools account for 91.01%.
Steps to check results via DigiLocker
Once CBSE declares the results, students will be able to access their digital mark sheets through DigiLocker.Step 1: Visit results.digilocker.gov.in and log in using your DigiLocker account.Step 2: After board activation service, open CBSE Class 10 result section.Step 3: Enter your Board Roll Number, Registration Number and Date of Birth in the required fields.Step 4: Submit details to view provisional numerical score sheet.Step 5: Download the transcript and keep a copy for admission and document verification until the school distributes the original certificate.The provisional scorecard will include the student’s name, student number, class, subject marks, overall score and eligibility status. Once declared, students can also request score verification online, obtain a copy of their assessment answer sheet and request re-evaluation of specific answers. CBSE does not release the merit list or award division for Class 10 exams.
