According to Mid-day, the singer expressed her excitement, saying: “It’s rare that someone gets the chance to redo their song, and that’s true in another iconic series.” The opportunity came out of the blue, and Sharma revealed that the call came from Raj Chanana, assistant vice president of T-Series. She revealed that composer Aditya Dev recreated the song and hearing it again filled her with memories. “I’ve been singing on stage for so many years that it has become another Munni for me,” she laughs.

For Sharma, the song will forever be associated with Khan and the world of “Dabangg”. Days after recording the song for Dabangg 2, she found herself shooting for the song with the superstar, a moment that turned her childhood dream into reality. “The first poster I put up in my home was of Salman sir and Madhuri [Dixit Nene] MS Then all of a sudden, in 2010, I was working with him. I still remember how he would hold my hand and spin me while he sang. I’m happy that my hands stay in that position even during breaks,” laughs the singer, who has several party numbers and is collaborating with lyricist Nikhat Khan. “Get your dancing shoes ready,” she joked.

Dabangg introduces fans to Chulbul Pandey, a bold and funny police officer known for his style, humor and unique approach to delivering justice. With great dialogues, strong performances and gripping action scenes, the film was a hit. The success of the series led to two more films: Dabangg 2 (2012) directed by Arbaaz Khan and Dabangg 3 (2019) directed by Prabhu Deva.
