Ayaan, who made his debut with ‘C’mon Baby’ in ‘Bandar’, recently revealed that he had earlier hidden the news of ‘Salman Mamu’ until the song was announced and released. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the singer revealed that he was told to keep the song a secret and the song’s co-producer Nikhil Dwivedi wanted to know the Tubelight actor’s honest reaction to it.Giving more context, he shared, “I was actually not allowed to tell Salman Mamu that I was writing this song for Bobby uncle’s film Bandar. Nikhil (Dwivedi, co-producer) swore me to secrecy and said, ‘When the song comes through, I will play it to your Mamu and tell him that I have discovered a new voice;'”Agni later shared that when he asked his mother about her reaction to his song, he was told, “He (Salman Khan) liked the song and when he met me later, he told me that I was doing a good job and should continue it.”In another interview with NDTV a few weeks ago, Agni also shared what kind of advice his uncle gave him for his debut. He shared that the actor simply told him to “sing your heart out and don’t give anyone else an idea.”
Ayaan Agnihotri shares the possibilities of Bollywood first performance
The singer, who has released three singles ahead of his debut, also revealed that he may also pursue an acting career in the future. The star shared that he was deeply influenced by the Bollywood industry from the beginning and always wanted to be an actor when he grew up. “I went to college for acting and world theatre,” he added, however, further sharing that he slowly realized that he loved the performance aspect of it all.He mentioned, “I realized that all I really loved was performing. Around the same time I started writing. Poetry turned into spoken word, turned into music, and I discovered a very special connection with music. I felt like I could express what I wanted to express through my writing, and was inspired by music because it helped me connect to things I was going through and get through them. This really had an impact on me.“As for the possibility of making her Bollywood debut as an actor, Agni shared, “Maybe at some point in the future, maybe entering Bollywood; it’s definitely not off the agenda because I do love acting. But the focus right now is on music.”
